Bobbie June LaClaire

Bobbie June LaClaire, 86, of Shawnee, Oklahoma died Sunday, June 14, 2015 in a local nursing home. Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2015 in Walker Funeral Service Chapel. Bobbie was born February 13, 1929 in Asher, Oklahoma to Berta G. & Henry LaClaire. When she was a child, Bobbie & her siblings sang "Oh Susanna" on a local radio station. She played the oboe in the Shawnee High School band, and graduated from Shawnee High School. Bobbie was married to Joe Pettus for 25 years. He preceded her in death. She worked as a housekeeper at OBU. She is survived by: Sister & Brother-in-Law: Billie & Bob Qualls; Daughter: Janet Pettus; Son: Tim Pettus; Granddaughter: Naomi Champagne; Great-Grandson: Tyler Key; and several nieces & nephews.
